Quiet the inner critic. Claim your worth. Show up as your real messy self.
Therapy for anxious, high-achieving perfectionists in Tennessee who want to soften the pressure, slow down, and trust that who you are is already enough.
No matter how much you do, how well you do it, or how much you give—it never feels like enough. And if, for even a second, you start to think it might be– Your mind is right there to remind you:
Nope. Still not enough. You’re not enough.
That feeling of not enough-ness, it follows you everywhere.
You beat yourself up when you don’t check everything off your never-ending to-do list and still feel like your achievements aren’t good enough.
You blame yourself when something goes wrong and replay every detail, thinking about what you should have done better.
You’re stuck in paralysis, worrying you will get it wrong, and feeling resistant to trying something new, unless you can be the best— to do it perfectly.
Feedback feels like a personal failure, leaving you tense in the moment and reeling for days.
You want a meaningful relationship, but struggle to express what you need, feeling constantly lonely and disappointed when others don’t meet the unspoken script in your head.
Any spare moment that isn’t occupied is spent obsessing over unfinished tasks, replaying conversations, and agonizing over what is the ‘right’ decision–feeling guilty about all the things.
You’re the epitome of success on the outside, but inside you worry it will all fall apart if you don’t keep up this level of intensity every second.
You're exhausted and overwhelmed working in overdrive to be perfect- to not take up too much space- to not be a burden.
All the while that inner voice, the one whispering—or sometimes screaming—“not enough” just won’t shut the hell up.
Therapy for high achievers in Tennessee can help!
Hi, I’m Gabi !
I’m a Licensed Therapist for high achievers in Tennessee.
And boy do I get how tempting it is to buy into the belief that by being perfect, getting everything right, not taking up too much space, you can finally feel like enough. Finally shut up that harsh inner voice that makes you feel bad about yourself.
So, if perfection were the answer, wouldn’t you feel better by now?
You’ve been overworking yourself for as long as you remember, tying yourself into knots to be the reliable one, the easy one, the one no one has to worry about. And it still doesn’t feel like enough.
What if there was another way to feel safe, connected, and confident in yourself?
You can have that! Let’s create a supportive space to explore your worth beyond achievement.

I have been actively practicing therapy for 11 years, and have been in private practice for 5 years.
I worked for 7 years in various community mental health settings, including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction with teens through late adulthood.
-
Throughout my education and into the earliest years of practice, I participated in various research opportunities—including being a research assistant to medication trials, a research coordinator, and completed my own thesis research.

I prioritize the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of therapy growth. And blend person-centered therapy practices with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Mindfulness therapeutic techniques for a tailored, research supported, approach to therapy.

Specialties
-
Your an anxious, high achiever who feels like you have to be on all the time in order to be accepted— to be enough.
Together we explore your beliefs around perfection–including how it has been helpful and unhelpful throughout your life–as you detangle your worth from how much you do, how well you do it, or how much you give.
-
You define your relationship style as ‘easy-going, dependable, down for whatever,’ but you are exhausted, and worse still feel lonely.
Through therapy for high achievers, Tennessee, we connect how past relationships developed a pattern of over-functioning in relationships. You find that as you stop over-functioning in relationships, you build the close relationships you long for.
-
Your a college student or young adult entering a new phase of life, and instead of feeling the expected excitement, you feel overwhelmed, unsure, and anxious.
Supported as you go through this life phase, you let go of the belief that anxiety means you got it wrong, and instead bring curiosity to new experiences learning more about yourself in the process.
-
Your a Graduate Student, Post-Doc, or Healthcare Professionals who is slowly (or quickly) burning out while living their dream career.
Together, we explore the beliefs, behaviors, and environment that contribute to burnout. Through understanding, your able to let go of unrealistic expectations, reconnect with what matters most, and spend less time on work.
Throughout your life, you’ve relied on relentless effort, vigilance, and overthinking to succeed—often attributing your worry to your achievements—even though it’s been exhausting and costly to your mental well-being.
You’ve been the easy friend, the person your boss relies on, the partner who shows up no matter what, the child your parents count on.
It just feels like who you are.
And, doing things this way have gotten you this far. So it feels really sucky and confusing now that these things are no longer sustainable— exhausting & burning you out. Harder still, you’re unsure what to change.
✔️ You’ve crafted the perfect morning routine touted by successful business people and influencers.
✔️ You’ve listened to podcasts and followed accounts with ‘empowering’ mantras for ‘being your best self.’
✔️ You’ve created list after list in different types of color coded planners to help you stay on track.
✔️ You’ve tried the diets, exercises, and supplements to increase energy, attention, productivity, and peace.
✔️ Maybe you’ve even met with a psychiatrist or PCP for medication.
✔️ Or, met with a therapist before– only to find that they weren’t quite what you needed.
You’ve doubled down on old strategies, thinking that if you try harder, stay more committed, or be more exacting, it will finally work—because the problem must be you, not the approach, right?
It’s tempting to return to the things that worked for a brief shining moment, believing you just need to be better for them to succeed. While that is totally an option still on the table, what if those strategies haven’t been ‘failing’ because of you, but because they’re simply not right for you (anymore)?
At therapy for high achievers in Tennessee, we work together to identify what has worked, what no longer works, and appreciate all the parts of yourself, including the messy and complicated ones. As you re-discover your values, you will begin making empowered decisions that are deeply aligned with your authentic self.
I deeply believe in the power of 1:1 therapy for high achievers in Tennessee.
As a perfectionist, it can feel really hard to let people into how you're struggling to hold it all together. Having a person that you can let into what’s happening can be transformative in helping you feel less alone, show you that sharing the hard (and great) stuff doesn’t lead to judgement or make you a burden.
We approach therapy from a lens of curiosity, rather than blame, to understand how you learned to be the worrier, planner, reliable, and easy one.
✔️ Take meaningful rest and prioritize yourself without guilt.
✔️ Use healthy coping skills to reduce anxiety and prevent spirals.
✔️ Stop putting others first at the expense of yourself and take responsibility only for your own feelings.
✔️ Know your boundaries and confidently navigate hard conversations without fear of others’ reactions, trusting your ability to resolve issues.
✔️ Be vulnerable and ask for help without feeling weak or burdensome.
✔️ Try new experiences without worrying about doing them perfectly.
✔️ Cultivate a kinder inner voice, especially after experiencing a mistake or setback.
By the end of working together, you will be able to understand how the high achieving behaviors began.
And you will also be able to:
